| Bio: | ![]() Georgiana Lyttelton aged 22 English Georgiana was born Susie Darby to a poor family in the heart of London and grew up with seven siblings of various ages and stages of illness. Her father worked little and her mother was a laundress. By age 14 she was the eldest of two children still alive, and she left her impoverished life to seek fame and fortune on London's stages. Her angelic appearance led to her being cast in a number of popular plays at the time, most being works of Shakespeare. She attracted the attention of a popular actor of the time and by age 17 she was gracing London's most fashionable stages. She'd changed her name to Georgiana and became a fixture at most parties, where her careful wit and intelligence provided entertainment for party-goers. Georgiana specialized in flattery and gentle teasing, and had soon captured the interest of Lord Willoughby Lyttelton, a notorious gambler and libertine. Lyttelton had a vast fortune (unlike most addicted to gambling, he was quite good at it) and a superbly comfortable home in London. He proceeded to request Georgiana's presence at a number of his parties, and five months after they met, he had proposed to her and she accepted. She was not in love with Lyttelton, she knew of his weekend inclinations and she had no notion of becoming his only obsession. She was quite content to redecorate his house while he pursued prostitutes on the Thames. Their marriage was profitable for both; Willoughby posessed a beautiful and talented woman most men had desired and would continue to, thus 'one-upping' most of his fellows, and Georgiana had a beautiful home with a constant flow of cash. Lyttelton fell ill with smallpox three years after their marriage and died after an allergic reaction to treatment. Georgiana was shocked by the rapid departure of her husband but took comfort in the fortune that was now solely hers. She buried him respectfully, with an expensive headstone. Georgiana has had dealings with the French, and keeps in touch with various aristocrats in mainland Europe and would be quite willings to house escaped aristocrats. She is also looking for a husband, as she dislikes being alone. She is not looking to marry for love, merely a pleasant companion who she could benefit from financially, physically and emotionally. | |||||||||
